The book will seek to examine how addiction impacts the lives of gifted persons in academic, professional, and personal ways.  

 

While there is a substantial body of literature with regard to addiction, the coverage of gifted people wrestlng with this problem is scanty. We know the commonalities among our three proposed titles: a focus on the interaction(s) between our population and the immediate topic; an examination of issues, nuances, and needs that explicitly covers the sub-populations; and a commitment to first-hand experiences to give voice to those whose stories may have not been told.

Our hope is to have editors in place for this volume within 18 months, but there is no specific deadline for that as of now.
